Mortgage Broker

Responsibilities and Key Duties

– Work with various lenders to find the best deal for a homebuyer.
– Originate loans to sell to lending institutions.
– Act as an intermediary between a lender and a borrower who needs a mortgage loan.
– Evaluate pay stubs, credit history, tax information and bank statements for financial status.
– Work to ensure compliance with banking and or finance laws in the jurisdiction of the consumer.
– Sell loans in the name of other organizations and businesses.
– Verify the income of the borrower as well as gather their credit information.
– Follow through with lender and client during approval process.
– Explain the legal aspects of the loan to the borrower as well as the payment terms and clauses to them.
– Define repayment terms to consumer and educate them on default consequences

Required Knowledge and skills

– Licensed under FICOM, RECA or FSCO as a Sub Mortgage Broker/Mortgage Agent or in the process of becoming licensed.
– Strong Prospecting Ability: Must be able to develop your own sources of mortgage referrals from a variety of sources. This is ultimately a business development role as opposed to a technical one.
– Real Estate and Mortgage knowledge is an asset.
– Balance sales goals with the requirement to operate legally and ethically.
– Provide effective customer service and value-added advice by offering mortgage solutions to prospects according to customer needs and choice.
– Promote high standards of ethical behavior. --Ability to work independently and from your own space.

Dealing Representative

We are a new Exempt Market Dealer and would like to be one of the biggest Exempt Market Dealer in BC. We are currently seeking Dealing Representative to develop and implement an effective sales strategy. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and executing sales, marketing and product development programs that will meet pre-determined targets and increase our market share. In the coming year, we plan to launch our products and hire more sales members. You will be a critical member of our leadership team as we continue our organic growth. Responsibilities and Key Duties

– Create and implement Strategic sales and marketing plans that successfully achieve business objectives
– Monitor competitors’ products, including relevant sales and marketing data
– Develop an operating budget for the sales division that meets business goals
– Manage a team of Financial Advisors and providing coaching and training, to ensure all your Financial Advisors will meet the sales target
– Complete and analyse results to adjust marketing strategy for maximum success
– Develop and maintain positive relationships with key clients.

Knowledge, Qualifications and skills

– Canadian Securities Course (CSC) or EMP (Exempt Market Proficiency Course)
– Minimum five years’ experience in leading a sales team
– Previous experience in senior sales role with demonstrated ability to meet or exceed targets
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present strategy and results to staff members at every level of the organization
– Demonstrated skill in closing sales
– Takes initiative and is a self-motivated
– Mandarin is an assets but not required
